i'm on medicaid.

i don't think i could've imagined writing that sentence 10 years ago when I was walking across the stage at my NYU graduation ceremony. i also never knew life could be this good.

i'm so grateful for medicaid and the safety net it represents so for millions of Americans who rely upon it every day. conceptually, i've understood the importance and value of the program since i first learned about it in civics class. but only now do i feel its power at a human level. i'm thankful to God that we're only, hopefully, on medicaid for a few months as we reposition ourselves for an entrepreneurial building phase. but i'm truly grateful this program exists for all of us. like any government solution, it's not perfect. but what is?

i just came home from a doctor's appointment, for which i didn't pay a thing directly (i know i pay taxes). i'm grateful to live in a place where that's possible. people NEED these services. we have to make sure they're available. there's nothing wrong with giving people a safety net. sometimes it's the difference between destitution and divine inspiration. let's give more folks a chance to experience the latter.

also, what an incredibly beautiful day. is this real?

term of the day: joy. it's okay to feel this, boys and men. it's not weakness, it's enlightenment.

song of the day: claustrophobic by PJ Morton. i LOVE everything this man writes/sings. i listen to this during my morning practice each day.

also, my schedule:

- doctor's appointment

-play at park w/ family

-writing time

-email catch-up

-quarterly planning

-meeting w/ ShareThing Finance Advisor

-ShareThing Founder's Meeting

-Family Dinner

-Call w/ Dad
